  • Pregnancy Support

    preg.nant adj.

    1. having a child or a young developing in utero

    2. full of meaning; significant or suggestive

The hormonal and physical changes associated with pregnancy and childbirth are the biggest transformation since puberty. Each life transition needs the warmth and guidance of our mentors and community to support into a healthy transition. When building a family, the nurture and support of our community ensures we come through this transformation thriving. In pregnancy, it is vital to go beyond bellies and baby supplies and into the deep, emotional, cultural, & role transition that comes with pregnancy and parenthood! I can help you explore your changing body, birth preferences, and the transformation of becoming a parent.

Sometimes parents have extra sensitive needs during this vulnerable period and can benefit from wholehearted support. Folks who have experienced fertility struggles, loss, & trauma can benefit from individual/couples sessions to process what it’s like to hold both hope and fear simultaneously. I offer support for all kinds of families, conception & pregnancy - non-traditional families, LGBTQ families, donors, surrogacy, & adoption.

There are several ways I can work with your during your pregnancy - group or private classes, birth doula support, or individual/couples therapy sessions.

  • Doula Support

    dou.la  noun

a person who provides guidance and support during labor

Doula support has proven benefits with pain management, informed-decision making, and an overall safer and more supported birth. In addition to birth knowledge and physical support, doulas provide support to partners & extended family and help you plan so that the birthing parent can focus on themself, the baby, and their body. Doula services typically include 2 prenatal visits, labor support, and 1 postpartum visit. Having a birth doula is a meaningful piece of support in building an empowered and healthy start as a family.

I offer full-spectrum doula services for childbirth and child loss.

When I was pregnant with my first child I did not hire a doula because of the cost. As a first time mom, I fell into a common experience of blaming myself for mistakes, and believing i could figure out how to birth and be a parent on my own. While I wasn’t alone, I also wasn’t wholeheartedly supported in leaning into my own strengths and skills. I wholeheartedly believe I could have had a different birth experience and emotional outcome had I had the support of a doula.

I want to help bring reassurance to the stregnth your family possesses.

  • Postpartum Support

    mat.re.scen.ce verb

    1. the process of becoming a mother

    2. a developmental passage where a woman transitions through pre-conception, pregnancy and birth, surrogacy or adoption, to the postnatal period and beyond

The postpartum period is a time of learning & growth, but also of change and healing.  New parents need the most tender support for their changing bodies and minds, and often space to process the losses & traumas that can emerge.

Have questions about sleeping and feeding? I’ve got evidence-based answers! You’ve got intuitive answers for your needs!

Group or  private classes to learn about your new role as a parent. We will go beyond information to explore what it means to embody the role of a parent.

  • Fertility Support

Support and information while moving through your fertility journey. We can meet as an individual or couple and pay attention to your individual experiences, process choices, losses, and foster well-being. We will meet based on your needs, usually 1-2x per month for ongoing fertility support.

Couples are encouraged to come in for at least 1-2 sessions to have a moderated & supportive conversation to encourage conscious decision-making on family-building.

  • Parenting Support

Non-judgmental support for the hardest job in the world!  Parents often come to see me well after the fourth trimester to support their continued adjustment to parenting toddlers or elementary aged children, and to support their relationship with each other. Exploring parenthood isn’t just about technique, but exploring our own

  • "It takes a village to raise a child."

The village is now paid. I don't want our village to be paid, but many of us live in hyper-independent families and lack support during this time. If your village is not here, and they want to help, I strongly encourage you to start a collection for supportive services like a doula, lactation support, etc. You can do this through Be Her Village or A Little Honey Money.

    Reduced Rates are available.

Paying my full rate, if it is affordable for you, allows me to offer reduced fees for other families. Insurance does not reimburse for these sessions, but you may use an HSA or FSA account.
